Bluehorse was founded by Kate Mably whose affinity for horses originated from her early teens when looking after more than 40 horses on a large farm. Time and patience was spent with extremely young and difficult horses, however Kate's dedication and determination paved the way for her passion to develop into her professional sphere resulting in the founding of Bluehorse.

Kate's pursuit of a greater knowledge took her to Portugal where she met Frederico Saramago, a Portuguese Classical master and horseman. Through Frederico, Kate has had the opportunity to ride a number of sensational Lusitano horses and meet and observe some of the best riders in the world.

Kim Johnson -Trained with point to point horses, worked in a BHS yard, now qualified teacher following the Bluehorse phylosophy.Kim is a very good competition rider and teacher.Very diligent and hard working. A wonderful confidence giver.

Many owners often attribute their vices and problems as if they are part of the horse's personality. Bluehorse strongly believes that there are few problems that cannot be solved by good instruction and a perfect understanding of the horse. Dedicated horsemanship undoubtedly results in a happy horse which will consequently move well, perform better and have longevity.

The art of Classical and Natural horsemanship inherited from masters such as Nuno Oliveira and Bill Dorrance play a significant role in the teaching and philosophy adopted at Bluehorse.
